She Is
04:54
|
|
||
She is starring in the mirror, and welling full of tears
And so she’s not quite sure if she is beautiful
So she doesn’t really fit in, the status quo size dress
So she thinks of herself, as a little bit too big
And I tried to tell her, and I tried to let her know
So I wrote this song for her, cause I want her to know
That she is more than she knows
And she is beautiful
No matter what others might happen to say
A “size five” is not big
Going about her day, who cares what all of those stupid boys say
Because they don’t know what beauty is, it’s what you have and what you are
And I tried to tell her, and I tried to let her know
So I wrote this song for her, cause I want her to know
That she is more than she knows
And she is beautiful
No matter what others might happen to say
A “size five” is not big

New Day
04:25
|
|
||
It is time to start a new chapter in life
Dropping the old to hold the new, the old to hold the new
I step outside to start a new day
As the wind hits my face with a breeze of embrace
I don’t know where these feet will take me
But I’ll follow them quickly with surprise in mind
Cause it is time to start a new chapter in life
Dropping the old to hold the new, the old to hold the new
I hope that life will take us on a journey
And keep our thoughts and dreams alive
I know sometimes we’ll take a look back
But without regret we’ll begin a new day
Cause it is time to start a new chapter in life
Dropping the old to hold the new, the old to hold the new
Drop the old, to hold the new. . .

The Smiles You Give
04:02
|
|
||
The smiles you give to everyone
Lets us have a better day
And the words that you say make me dance around
All I wanna do is dance for you
The clothes that you’ve made will show them all
That you will be a famous designer one day
Dreams come true I know they do
I’m living proof I’m playing the guitar for you . . . I’m playing the guitar for you.
Every note that I play, I play for my baby
She’s the song in my head everyday
The people around say we’re pretty cute
When we do the things, the things that make us laugh
Cause day or night, it doesn’t matter when
Spending time with you is the only thing that’s true . . . Spending time with you
Under the stars or under the sun
It doesn’t matter where we are as long as we have some fun
As time goes by we’ll have some fun
Like picnics on a Sunday afternoon
Long walks in parks or we could see the lights
And wish this night, and wish this night will never end . . . I wish this night would never end
So many things we could do with just an hour or two
So listen love, I need more time with you
The smiles you give to everyone
Lets us have a better day
And the words that you say make me dance around
All I wanna do is dance for you
The shoes that I walk in I’d love to share with you, I wanna do everything with you
I love the way you smile at me, baby I love the things you always say to me.

Until Today
03:34
|
|
||
Her color oh so subtle, a shade not many see
But when it comes full frontal, makes me really want to be
The best friend she could ever have, and not exactly like a brother or a dad
And after all I’ve seen, she means so much to me
We’ve been through so, so much
It hardly feels like just twelve months
And baby the last two
Have been the best ones yet
Every time I see her face, her warm embrace takes my breath away
I love the way she’ll where no.. make up she’s a natural beauty
And from her delicate Scarlet J lips, she’ll talk and talk and talk and I love it
Officially she’s now my lady, I’m glad I didn’t wait until today
We’ve been through so, so much
It hardly feels like just twelve months
And baby the last two
Have been the best ones yet
I love it when I’m with her

Hey There
03:59
|
|
||
Hey there, what’s your name there?
I’d like to spend some time with you
I said hey there, what’s your name there?
I’d like to spend some time with you
I love the way your hair looks at five o’clock in the Arizona sunset light
Ever since I met you I’ve had you by my side, so close to me I can’t lose sight . . .
I can’t loose sight
I said hey there, know your name there
I love the time I spend with you
I said hey there, know your name there
I love the time I spend with you
We stay up through the night on your bedroom floor, while we talk ourselves to sleep
Your words so pure and kind they make me fall in love, you make my day with the words you say . . . The words you say
I said hey there, know your name there
I love the time I spend with you
I said hey there, know your name there
I love the time I spend with you

The Ocassional
03:47
|
|
||
Well I thought the girl was hurting, since they ended it again
And I figured she’d need some time, and she could use a friend
Then a friend of mine was interested, did not know what to do
Him being smooth he started making a move, so I choose not to pursue
I hate this kind of thing, you care for a friend and what do they bring
But the occasional suffering
Well it’s apart of life, sometimes you laugh and sometimes you cry
And you wonder why, wonder why
Now they’re falling for each other, ever since I’ve been feeling down
I tried to warn her about him, hope her heart don’t break again
For the sake of her and for the sake of him, I hope it works out for the best of them
That’s the way things will happen, I hope I haven’t lost a friend
I hate this kind of thing, you care for a friend and what do they bring
But the occasional suffering
Well it’s apart of life, sometimes you laugh and sometimes you cry
And you wonder why, you wonder why

Our Rock and Roll
03:11
|
|
||
I wake up in the morning and I start to sing
I got a song in my head constantly
The sounds of the world inspire me to play
I started playing ‘bout six years ago
And now it’s become the only thing I know
From the keys to the stings I’ll be making my way home
Every little thing we see
Every little thing we hear
Every little thing we say
Is our rock and roll
From the words we write
To the chords we play
What’s left is what we call
Our rock and roll
The rhythm in my bones, feet and soul
There’s no telling where it’ll let me go
With one foot in front of the other I’ll be traveling down that road
My life’s an open book waiting to be written
But the words on the pages will come from within
Ink on the front and back spreading the lyrics of my life

Fly
03:39
|
|
||
I’m falling from a tall tree
I caught a glimpse the world will never see
I’m falling fast; the air is cool
All I wish, is to fly. . . We'll fly
Fly high with you by my side
Never let go till we reach the sky
I’ll fly high with you by my side
I’ll never let go till we reach the sky
The memories in my head
Things we’ve done; words you’ve said
I wanna keep, let me keep
But for now, we'll fly. . . We’ll fly
Fly high with you by my side
Never let go till we reach the sky
I’ll fly high with you by my side
I’ll never let go till we reach the sky

The Time With You
03:52
|
|
||
There’s a girl who walks with me and we swing back and forth
Through the day, we talk and talk, laughing ‘bout things we’ve done
You’re beautiful, you’re beautiful girl
Happy to spend the time with you
You’re beautiful, you’re beautiful girl
So happy we met
I saw you in the parking lot and I thought what a girl
So I asked you and picked you up and had the time of my life
You’re beautiful, you’re beautiful girl
Happy to spend the time with you
You’re beautiful, you’re beautiful girl
So happy we met

Black Leather Coat
06:16
|
|
||
I throw on my black leather coat, and walk outside into the cold
Air upon my face that brings the since of a new day coming
Big black clouds start to fill the sky, it’s days like these that make my wonder why
People don’t believe in the God above and how he gave us this world with his amazing love
We decide it’s time to ditch class cause a beautiful day is gonna be gone fast
We take a walk just two best friends, the rain comes down but we let it in
We walk down fourth past the old thrift store and down the underpass that comes before
Crumbling walls and an old street sign and an old hippie that offered us a dime
Come on, come on get up let’s go, and step into something that you don’t know
And take a walk to the other side of town
Get off your ass and on your feet and take a stroll down an unknown street
And don’t be afraid to break your old routine
Foolin’ around Chicago music shop in the music graveyard they got on top
And down the street to the new Tooley’s where we grab a cup of some hot coffee
And looking up at the Fox Theater we can’t help but stop and sit and wonder
How many people will one day see our name in bright lights upon the big marquee
Come on, come on get up lets go, and step into something that you don’t know
And take a walk to the other side of town
Get off your ass and on your feet and take a stroll down an unknown street
And don’t be afraid to break your old routine/And buy a hungry guy something to eat
Come on, come on get up let’s go
