We decide it’s time to ditch class cause a beautiful day is gonna be gone fast
We take a walk just two best friends, the rain comes down but we let it in
We walk down fourth past the old thrift store and down the underpass that comes before
Crumbling walls and an old street sign and an old hippie that offered us a dime

Come on, come on get up let’s go, and step into something that you don’t know
And take a walk to the other side of town
Get off your ass and on your feet and take a stroll down an unknown street
And don’t be afraid to break your old routine

Foolin’ around Chicago music shop in the music graveyard they got on top
And down the street to the new Tooley’s where we grab a cup of some hot coffee
And looking up at the Fox Theater we can’t help but stop and sit and wonder
How many people will one day see our name in bright lights upon the big marquee
